Delete your MacBite account
Before you start: deleting your account does not cancel your Google Play subscription. Cancel it first so you are not charged again. See how to cancel.
In the app (fastest)
- Open MacBite and tap Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
From here, without the app
If you uninstalled MacBite or cannot open it, email privacy@macbite.app from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my MacBite account". If you signed up with Google, use your Google account email. We will reply to confirm it is you, then delete the account. You do not need to reinstall the app.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in details.
- Your profile, targets, scan results, meals, water, workouts, weekly plan, reminder settings and the record of terms accepted.
What happens and when
- Your account is switched off immediately.
- For 30 days you can change your mind: sign in again and choose to restore it.
- After 30 days everything above is permanently erased from our systems, and we ask our providers to erase their copies. Backups clear on their normal cycle, which takes a limited time.
- What we may keep: billing records held by Google Play and our payment provider, and anything we must keep by law. We do not keep photos on our servers, because they stay on your phone.
- Photos saved on your phone are removed when you uninstall the app, or earlier with Settings, Clear photos on this phone.
